NAN FUNG GROUP | AIRSIDE HONG KONG PREMIERSHIP: ROUND 14 REVIEW

PUBLISHED ON 17 FEB 2026

Round 14 of the 2025/26 Nan Fung Group | AIRSIDE Hong Kong Premiership was the penultimate round of the regular season, as we take a week’s break for the Chinese New Year celebrations.

With Round 15 left to play on 28 February, certain permutations have already been decided. First of all, congratulations to the Societe Generale Valley RFC for winning the Women’s Premiership League with a game to spare. The team has, in 14 matches; Won 12, Drawn 1, Lost 1.

Kroll USRC Tigers Women will finish as runner-up as they have an unassailable lead over third-placed HKFC Natixis Ice.

In the Men’s Premiership, the League title will go down to the wire, with HKFC Natixis Club at the top of the table with 49 points, in second is Societe Generale Valley RFC on 47 points, and in third is Kroll USRC Tigers RFC on 44 points.

The final round for the men sees 1st play third as HKFC hosts the Tigers, while Valley RFC travels to Milwaukee Hong Kong Scottish - so all eyes are on that final round.

Women’s Premiership

HKFC Natixis Ice 48-7 Kowloon Rugby Club

The hosts, HKFC Natixis Ice, put in a solid performance to claim a bonus point win at home over Kowloon on the weekend’s Friday night fixture. Lizzie Stanton made her debut for the hosts - she had represented the Hong Kong China U18 Sevens Squad over recent seasons.

An eventful opening half saw the hosts score three converted tries (Annie Buntine, Wanching Wong, Hayley Glass scored the tries, all converted by Lori Cramer), but also had two players yellow-carded as they led 21-0 at the break.

In a dominant second half, they added 5 more tries to Niamh Orchard (x2), a second for Annie Buntine, as well as scores for Jamie Bourk and Zoe Teece.

HKFC Natixis Ice win saw them climb above Clement Shield/VetiVa Gai Wu Falcons, who lost this weekend, and they now have 39 points with one round left, while Gai Wu have 36.

Both teams have tough final matches, with HKFC Natixis Ice hosting Kroll USRC Tigers Women, and Clement Shield/VetiVa Gai Wu Falcons travelling to the League champions.

Kroll USRC Tigers Women 37-7 Clement Shield/VetiVa Gai Wu Falcons

The Kroll USRC Tigers Women are having a good run of games to close out the regular season and put away the team that was chasing them on the log, although they already secured second place last weekend.

Clement Shield/VetiVa Gai Wu Falcons were beaten convincingly, and Tigers picked up a bonus point at home to lock in runner-up in the league. Gai Wu said online: “A tough shift for the Falcons this week. The result didn't go our way, but we were proud of the effort shown on the pitch.”

Gai Wu will need to beat the League champions in the final Round 15 of fixtures and hope the Tigers beat HKFC to finish 3rd overall, which would set up a rematch with Kroll USRC Tigers Women in the Semifinals.

Societe Generale Valley RFC 100-0 Causeway Sandy Bay

What a way to secure the Women’s Premiership League for Societe Generale Valley RFC by racking up a century of points without conceding and sending out the alarm bells to all competitors in The Nan Fung Group | AIRSIDE Women's Premiership.

Rosie Inglis was the club’s Player of the Match in the big win, which helped them secure the League title, and there was a return from injury for Jess Eden.

Causeway Sandy Bay WCCO Kevin Moggridge has already announced that his time with Hong Kong China Women and the Women’s Premiership clubs will be coming to an end in July after the season has concluded, after two years with them.

Causeway Sandy Bay plays Kowloon in the final round, and that result will determine who finishes 5th and 6th overall; Causeway Sandy Bay currently occupy 5th with 9 log points, and Kowloon has 7.

Men’s Premiership

Societe Generale Valley RFC 61-24 HKU Sandy Bay RFC

Societe Generale Valley RFC bounced back from last weekend’s loss, which saw them relinquish the top of the log, and secured a bonus point win against the defending champions, HKU Sandy Bay RFC, who will finish in the bottom two this season.

Victor’s Isaac Campbell-Wu was Valley RFC Player of the Match in the 61-24 victory.

Kroll USRC Tigers RFC 52-24 Milwaukee Hong Kong Scottish

Kroll USRC Tigers RFC are another club ending the regular season strongly, and also claimed a bonus point 52-24 victory over the 6th-placed Milwaukee Hong Kong Scottish.

After only having a single win last season, Nigel Hotham’s side has now won 8 matches this season, with one round to go and will be in the play-offs - quite the turnaround.

Special mention to Harrison King, who made his 50th appearance for Milwaukee Hong Kong Scottish.

HKFC Natixis Club 51-13 Kowloon Rugby Club

The two clubs are having opposite run-ins to the end of the regular season, with HKFC Natixis Club running out victorious again and sitting at the top of the Men’s Premiership for a second week, while Kowloon have endured a run of successive defeats to see them slip out of contention for a home semifinal.

HKFC led 17-6 at halftime thanks to tries for Liam Gordon and Kai Stroem with Matteo Avitabile slotting points from the boot. The second half points for the hosts came from tries for Avitabile, Ben Auxten-Burrett, Quintony Ngatai, Anthony Coebergh and Tavon Yum as they secured the 51-13 win.
