PILLAR SPORTS ANNOUNCED AS OFFICAL TAPE SUPPLIER FOR HONG KONG CHINA RUGBY

Hong Kong China Rugby is excited to announce a new partnership with Pillar Sports, which will serve as the organisation’s Official Tape Supplier until the end of 2027. The partnership is designed to provide ultimate support for Hong Kong China players and in doing so enhance on-field performances as our representative teams prepare for a packed calendar of regional and global competitions across the next two years.
Brendan Ireland, Director of Pillar Sports expressed his enthusiasm about the partnership, stating "We're proud to announce our partnership with Hong Kong China Rugby. Founded in 2014, Pillar Sports is an Australian and Hong Kong-owned company with its head office located in Hong Kong. They are well known in the global rugby community, having established partnerships with teams ranging from representative squads to local clubs. They share a strong affiliation with organisations including the Swiss Rugby Union, Anthem Rugby in Major League Rugby, Lakapi Samoa, and the Philippine Rugby Football Union. In addition, Pillar Sports is deeply embedded within the Hong Kong rugby scene, supplying several clubs with sports tape, custom apparel and equipment.
Looking ahead, 2026 promises to be a momentous year for Hong Kong China Rugby's senior representative teams. Our men's and women's 7s teams will participate in the Asian Sevens Series in August and October, as well as the Asian Games in October. Meanwhile, our Men's XVs will compete in the Nations Cup in both July and November – in preparation for their 2027 Rugby World Cup debut – and our Women's XVs will take on the Asia Rugby Championship in May, followed by the WXV Global Series in September.
