The Hong Kong China Rugby Roll of Honour recognises individuals who have left an indelible mark on rugby in Hong Kong.
It includes a balanced mix of Union Presidents, Chairmen and honorary officers, as well as influential players and volunteers.

HALL OF FAME
Our Hong Kong China Rugby Hall of Famers boast a distinguished record of competitive achievement at the highest domestic and international level, with consideration given to integrity, sportsmanship and character.
Individuals who have made a significant contribution to growing the reputation and reach of rugby – in areas such as administration, coaching and officiating – are also considered for the Hall of Fame.

JOEL DUNN AWARD
The Joel Dunn Award is presented in memory of the late Joel Dunn, an individual who, as a player, coach and teacher, made an exceptional contribution to the rugby community in Hong Kong.
The award honours an individual or group who has shown an outstanding display of character that embodies the true values of rugby – integrity, respect, solidarity, passion and discipline – and, in doing so, has made an exceptional contribution to our community.

ESTABLISHMENT DAY HONOURS
Hong Kong China Rugby players and management have been recognised by the Chief Executive in the annual Honours List and Justices of the Peace appointments, as published by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) government.
In 2024 our former CEO Robbie McRobbie received a Chief Executive’s Commendation for Community Service in recognition of his contributions to the development of rugby in Hong Kong, while representative players Alex McQueen, Russell Webb, Liam Doherty and James Christie – who all featured in the men’s rugby sevens team that triumphed at the Asian Games in 2023 – were all awarded a Medal of Honour for outstanding achievements in international rugby competitions.
In 2019 representative players Max Woodward, Lee Ka-to Cado, Yiu Kam-Shing, Michael Coverdale, James Hood, Max Denmark, Hugo Stiles, Lee Jones, Alessandro Nardoni, Kwok Pak-nga Eric, Liam Herbert and Ben Rimene – who all featured in the men’s rugby sevens team that triumphed at the Asian Games in 2018 – were all awarded a Medal of Honour for outstanding achievements in international rugby competitions.
